This scientific laboratory had severe conflict between two departments that needed to be collaborating. Power struggles that were interrupting the flow of work, causing stress, loss of good talent and delayed results.

Applying our FOUR ELEMENT PROCESS, we created a 6-month Change Agent Program. We initially conducted interviews to better understand the core issues and challenges. Clear objectives were established with the leadership involved. A collection of people representing both departments were selected to participate in the program. A 2-day training was conducted once a month. Breakthrough projects were designed by teams to change the culture.

By the end of the six months, the two departments were transformed in how they interacted with each other and the rest of the organization. Everyone in the Change Agent Program had grown as human beings and as contributing members of the organization. New systems and processes were established with the support of the Change Agents and a culture of collaboration and support were firmly in place. In addition, they had begun to have a positive impact on the culture as a whole, with greater engagement, better communication and collaboration throughout.
